Our Application Process

 

 

STEP 1:  INQUIRY
Are you interested in your child attending Countryside Christian School? Complete our online inquiry and pending availability, should your student be selected to move forward with the application process, an application will be emailed.

 

STEP 2: COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION WHICH INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
-Educational and Ministry Reference forms
-Current Report Card/Transcript (high school)
-Non-refundable application fee of $50 per student

 

STEP 3: INTERVIEW
Should your student be selected to move forward you will be contacted to schedule an interview with CCS administration. At this time you will be able to learn more about our school and programs we offer as well as tour the facilities and meet the administrative staff. This is also a great time to ask questions that will better help you determine if Countryside Christian School is a good fit for you and your student. *Student applicant attendance is required.*

 

STEP 4: ADMISSION DECISION
After application submission and interview, the Principal will review the student’s entire application and respond via email with one of three decision types: Acceptance, Wait List, or Non-Acceptance.

Acceptance – These students are qualified to attend Countryside  Christian School and show promise of not only benefiting from but also contributing to the school. These students are offered enrollment positions. The school’s offer must be accepted or declined within 2 weeks of the acceptance date.

Wait List – These students are admissible but all available enrollment positions have been filled. Instead of being offered an enrollment position, a wait list position is offered.  The wait list does not carry over from year to year.

Non-Acceptance – These students are not offered enrollment at Countryside Christian School.

 

STEP 5: ENROLLMENT
After acceptance, parents will receive an enrollment packet link via email. The following additional documents will be necessary to complete the online enrollment process.
-Copy of Student Birth Certificate
-Copy of Immunization Record
-Copy of Social Security Card
-Copy of Parent Driver’s License

Enrollment is complete once the enrollment packet is signed and submitted to Countryside Christian School. A $300 Enrollment Fee ( $100 per additional child) will be due upon submission. The billing office will handle all financial questions and transactions regarding tuition and fee payments from this point forward.

 

STEP 6: DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND TRANSCRIPT REVIEW
Kindergarten Screening
Testing will be arranged for incoming Kindergarteners who have not taken the Star Early Literacy Assessment in VPK or other PK4 program to determine academic placement.

Diagnostic Testing
4th-9th Grade: Diagnostic testing will be conducted to determine PACE levels in each subject. Testing will be scheduled before the start of the new school year. If a student is enrolled during the school year, diagnostic testing will take place during the first few days of attendance.

Transcript Reviews
10th-12th – Upper High School students will be placed in courses and electives based on previous transcript records.

 

Admissions Criteria

  • Countryside Christian School is open to any and all children from homes of “like faith” in our community. Applicants are welcome regardless of race or social status.
  • We do request that at least one of the child’s parents be a practicing Christian and a faithful member of a local, Bible-believing church. Is it also necessary that parents share our philosophy of education and discipline. Parents will be asked to sign a parental Pledge of Support.
  • Countryside Christian School is not a “reform school”. We do not accept students who have been in trouble at or expelled from other schools due to drugs, alcohol, immorality, or bad behavior.
  • Although we do offer a complete high school curriculum, we do not routinely offer initial enrollment to students above the 8th grade.

 

ELIGIBILITY
PK3 – Child must be 3 years old on or before September 1
PK4 – Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1
K5 (Kindergarten) – Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1
1st Grade – Child must be 6 years old on or before September 1
2nd-12th Grades – Must show proof of satisfactorily completing the previous grade.
